Consultation on the draft St Cuthbert's Local Plan started on 10 November 2020 and ended on 22 December 2020. Comments on the plan will now be considered and the document will be updated and amended accordingly. The draft Local Plan can be viewed here. The St Cuthbert's Local Plan sets planning policies that will be used to assess planning applications on land within the Garden Village. The Local Plan also allocates and protects land for different types of uses such as green space, residential, employment or commercial development. 

The Local Plan has been informed and shaped by the St Cuthbert's Masterplan. Ultimately, it will be the Local Plan that delivers the Masterplan through the planning process.
