Consultation on the draft options for Stage Two of the St Cuthbert's Garden Village Masterplan ran between Monday 2 September 2019 and Monday 14 October 2019. A feedback document summarising responses received during consultation is now available to download.
We are also consulted on the scope of the St Cuthbert's Garden Village Local Plan. The Local Plan will be a planning document that will set the guidelines for new development within the St Cuthbert's area.

Over 1,000 people have attended our various consultation events
The very first consultation on Stage One of the Masterplan was
carried out between 26 January - 9 March 2018. This was the first opportunity
for people get involved with plans for St Cuthbert's. The response to the
consultation was fantastic, with nearly 1,000 people attending the public
exhibitions and more than 500 people completing the online questionnaire.
We have published a report on the key messages
arising from this first public consultation on the Garden Village. The Scoping
and Visioning Consultation Feedback report is available to download on
the Master Plan page.
This report informed the production of options for how and where development
could take place within the St Cuthbert's area. These concept options were subject
to further consultation held between 29 June - 10 August 2018. Consultation responses have since been considered and a consultation summary and feedback document has been produced.
A public consultation has also taken place on the
proposed Carlisle Southern Link Road and has informed the selection of a
preferred route. To find out more please visit Cumbria County Council's website.
