Stage Two  Masterplanning started in February 2019 and has used the concept and vision from Stage One  to provide a more detailed strategic masterplan for the site. 

 

This second stage in the process has reviewed the existing evidence base and a baseline report document has been produced. The report is available via the following link:

 

 

Conclusions from the evidence base, along with the concept and vision from Stage One and findings from public and stakeholder engagement to date, have been used to prepare three draft options for a strategic masterplan framework.  These options were consulted on between 2 September and 14 October 2019. 

 

 

 

Ultimately the St Cuthbert's Garden Village Masterplan is concerned with identification  of a preferred option for the strategic location, layout and design of St Cuthbert's Garden Village. This option will be used as a planning tool to further guide localised development proposals. It also serves as a material planning consideration, thus providing a degree of certainty for applicants when considering development proposals that are in line with the objectives and vision for the Garden Village.
